Wang Xianglin Awarded the "Celebration of the 70th Anniversary of the Founding of the People's Republic of China" Commemorative Medal

On September 24, 2019, leaders from the United Front Work Department of the Beihai Municipal Committee visited Guangxi Penshibao Group Co., Ltd. and presented the Celebration of the 70th Anniversary of the Founding of the People's Republic of China Commemorative Medal to Chairman Wang Xianglin. The medal was issued jointly by the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, the State Council, and the Central Military Commission, representing full recognition from the Party and the country for Wang Xianglin’s long-term commitment to social responsibility, dedicated service to agriculture, rural areas and farmers, and contributions to promoting ethnic unity.

Wang Xianglin is one of the technology-based private entrepreneurs emerging from China’s reform and opening-up. He founded Penshibao in 1985, growing the company from a small rural enterprise into a national high-tech enterprise, a national intellectual property advantage enterprise, a drafting unit of the national standard for organic foliar fertilizers, and a member of the United Nations Global Compact.

For more than 30 years, Wang Xianglin has persisted in applying cutting-edge scientific and technological achievements to develop the proprietary "Penshibao" series of multi-functional nutritional foliar fertilizers, which are highly efficient, safe, low-carbon and environmentally friendly. He pioneered the shift from traditional root fertilization to three-dimensional foliar fertilization for crops in China, making Penshibao a benchmark enterprise leading the development of China’s foliar fertilizer industry.

Trials and demonstrations conducted by the National Agricultural Technology Extension Service Center of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, China Agricultural University, Huazhong Agricultural University, Hunan Agricultural University, Fujian Agriculture and Forestry University and other scientific research institutions have shown that the new Penshibao products achieve remarkable effects in increasing yields and income, improving crop quality, enhancing stress resistance, degrading pesticide residues, reducing chemical fertilizer application, preventing and remediating soil pollution, and developing selenium-rich healthy agricultural products. The company has made outstanding contributions to sustainable agricultural development, increased farmers’ incomes and environmental protection.

Wang Xianglin has successively served as a member of the 8th, 9th and 10th National Committees of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), a Standing Committee Member and Executive Member of the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce, and an academician of the World Academy of Productivity Science.

He has received numerous honors, including the National Model of Ethnic Unity and Progress, the National May 1st Labor Medal, the National Outstanding Private Science and Technology Entrepreneur, and the Most Influential Model Worker in Guangxi since the Founding of the People’s Republic of China. He enjoys special government allowances for experts with outstanding contributions. He has been invited many times to attend the United Nations Global Compact Leaders Summit and relevant forums, introducing Penshibao’s concepts and experience in energy conservation and environmental protection on the international stage and demonstrating the style of China’s private enterprises.

It is reported that the awarding of the Celebration of the 70th Anniversary of the Founding of the People's Republic of China Commemorative Medal is an important part of the series of celebrations for the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China. It aims to honor:
